Coaching Change For Amakhosi?
Marco Munhoz Could Have Left Kaizer Chiefs
Word reaching the Siya crew is that there could be another coaching change at Naturena as Kaizer Chiefs switch things up following their three-season trophy drought.
Steve Komphela resigned from his position as head coach before the end of the 2017/18 season, with Patrick Mabedi taking over on an interim basis until the end of the campaign.
It had been thought that Amakhosi management would move swiftly to appoint Komphela’s successor, however, pre-season is currently underway with Mabedi still at the helm, and last week underwent medical and fitness tests ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
According to Siya sources, Komphela’s fitness coach, Marco Munhoz, is no longer working with the players as they begin pre-season, with Jarred Marsh believed to have taken over in his absence after being promoted from his job with the youth team.
Marsh has experience working with the Amakhosi first team, and it appears that Munhoz has followed former goalkeeper coach, Brian Baloyi, out of the exit door.
