Sundowns To Use Mashaba To Tempt Chiefs Into Swap Deal?

Mamelodi Sundowns To Use Mzikayise Mashaba To Tempt Kaizer Chiefs Into Swap Deal?

Mamelodi Sundown could use Mzikayise Mashaba as leverage as they look to try and tempt Kaizer Chiefs into a potential swap deal.

As revealed by the Siya crew in recent times, Sundowns have identified Chiefs’ Gustavo Paez as a transfer target in the near future, with sources adding that the Brazilians could be considering a potential swap deal rather than making a complete money offer for the player.

As previously reported, Sundowns were looking to offer Leonardo Castro to Amakhosi, in hopes that they could consider letting Paez go.

However, the latest news from Siya sources is that Masandawana could look to throw Mzikayise Mashaba into the mix in order to try and tempt Chiefs into the deal.

It was reported last week on the Soccer Laduma website that Mashaba is still on Sundowns books as the club is yet to issue the player with his clearance.

However, sources have revealed that before giving Mashaba his clearance, the Brazilians could look to offer the player alongside Castro, in a potential swap deal with Chiefs that will see Paez go the other direction.

Now, it remains to be seen whether Sundowns will look to approach Amakhosi in the upcoming January transfer window.

Reading through the comments here I can't help but to feel pity with my fellow bloggers who believe everything their fellow maize fc supporterof a cow-editor posts on this site! This is mere wishful thinking on the part of our beloved cow-editor! It's clear he is very hurt about the lack of quality at his beloved maize club! He is always linking every Downs player to the Swazi cow fc.his paez guy has scored less goals than Kennedy mweene.........a keeper his whole career! The cow-editor must start doing his job n stop scouting for this maize club!He can also join the kaizer chiefs magazine........ I think they have one!you slowly turning soccer laduma into an amakhosi gossiping platiform!we are watching you!

Now they want to offload players they no longer need in their squad. I am not surprised, Chiefs is used to this kind if of practice.

@fistoszn The u don't understand contractual issues. Both players are still contracted with Downs and if Chiefs are looking to get them in January a swap deal is a possibility. Otherwise signing them on pre-contract doesn't mean those players will leave their current team immediately.

Paez should just be released. I am not saying he is not a good player, but at Chiefs we will not see his full potential and mna I don't rate him anyway.

Stop lying. Mashaba is no longer a Sundowns player, how can they offer him to Chiefs? Castro's contract expire in 6 months time, he will sign a pre-contract with a club he has agreed personal terms with
