Mamelodi Sundowns Still Want Cape Town City Winger
Mamelodi Sundowns are still keen on a Cape Town City star despite the club’s efforts at rejecting several bids for the player in the previous July/August transfer window.
The Brazilians had more than two of their bids for the services of Aubrey Ngoma turned down by City during the previous transfer window, with management at the Mother City-based club maintaining that the player was not for sale.
However, the Siya crew was informed by sources close to the Chloorkop-based club that Sundowns have not given up on their interest in Ngoma and could once again approach City with an offer in the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old only recently made his return from a long-term injury, managing to get one goal and assist to his name in just five appearances.
However, Ngoma suffered another set-back during the tean’s clash against Sundowns in the Absa Premiership this week and it remains to be seen whether he will be fit enough to playt when the domestic campaign resumes in January.
Indications are that the player’s injury will not stop Masandawana from acquiring his services, as they were still eager to add the winger to their books during the time of his previous injury.
Now, it remains to be seen whether Sundowns will table an impressive offer that will be enough to tempt City in to negotiations in the upcoming January transfer window.
