SuperSport United are edging closer to securing the signing of a Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder on loan.
As reported in the past weeks by the Siya crew, SuperSport are believed to be keen on adding Lucky Mohomi to their books, with the player currently out of favour at the Chloorkop-based club.
It was also added that a loan move for Mohomi could be on the cards, with Siya sources since confirming to the crew that the two parties are close to agreeing on a 6-month loan stint for the 27-year-old at Matsatsantsa.
In addition, sources have revealed that once the loan move is agreed to, SuperSport will have the option of a permanent buy for Mohomi at the end of the season.
The midfielder’s deal with Sundowns is expected to come to an end on June 30, this year, with the Brazilians having an added two-year option set on his contract.
Indications are that Sundowns are set to exercise the added option on his deal, in a bid to cash in on the player, should he be sold at the end of the season.
An official announcement about Mohomi’s SuperSport move is believed to take place in the coming days.
