Mamelodi Sundowns Players Who Could Play Their Last Game For The Club
There are a few Mamelodi Sundowns players who could play their last game in the Ka Bo Yellow colours.
Sundowns will be in action his weekend against Wydad Casablanca in Group C of the CAF Champions League competition.
However, after being crowned Absa Premiership champions last weekend, the Brazilians still have to play one more league encounter before they can lift the trophy.
As reported by the Siya crew yesterday, Head Coach Pitso Mosimane could look to give several out-of-favour players some game-time next weekend when they play away to Bloemfontein Celtic, however, there are a few players who, if given the chance, could play their last game for the club.
Billiat has been heavily linked with an exit from Masandawana and with the club still not confirming whether they’ve managed to secure the Zimbabwean international’s signature, the 27-year-old could be playing some of his last games for the club.
The playmaker’s contract will come to an end on June 30 this year, with the Brazilians set to play two CAF Champions League fixtures and a league encounter before then.
The 33-year-old experienced some of his greatest footballing years with the Brazilians, although it seems that his time with the club is coming to an end. Nthethe has been linked with an exit from Masandawana for several months, as his contract will also end on June 30 and it remains to be seen whether he will be given some game-time before he leaves.
Mbekile has not played in a single game for Sundowns this season, although was included on the bench in two Absa Premiership fixtures this year. Mbekile’s contract will expire on June 30 and it remains to be seen whether the player will be given some game-time in the coming days.
Laffor is another player who has been linked with a move away from Sundowns, with the likes of Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United believed to be eyeing the player. However, the Liberian is still contracted to Sundowns, with his deal expected to expire at the end of the 2018/19 season. It remains to be seen whether the winger will be making the move away from the Chloorkop-based club in the July/August transfer window and could potentially play some of his last games for the club.
