Ajax Cape Town will return to club duty early in June, while sources have indicated that the Urban Warriors are looking to continue with their court case.
As reported by the Siya crew in May, Ajax will return to court next month. According to Siya sources, the Urban Warriors are questioning the severity of the punishment, after the judge ruled that the club has been docked points for the ineligible fielding of Tendai Ndoro.
Sources have added that Ajax’s case includes an argument that Platinum Stars had not lodged a protest or laid a complaint and Polokwane City’s appeal was not correctly administered.
Ajax have since been automatically relegated from the Absa Premiership following the latest court ruling, however, should they be successful in their next court case, this could see the promotion/relegation play-offs possibly replayed.
As things stand, Black Leopards have since been promoted to South Africa’s top flight.
However, on the other side of things, Ajax are likely to report for pre-season on June 11th, with on-loan players, Siyanda Zwane, Yannick Zakri, Fagrie Lakay, Rheece Evans and Tercious Malepe all expected to join up with the Urban Warriors squad at the time, with their stay only coming to an end on June 30.
