Mamelodi Sundowns Monitor Egyptian
Mamelodi Sundowns are believed to be monitoring the situation of an Egyptian striker.
According to Siya sources, Masandawana are believed to be tracking, Amr Gamal, who is currently on a season-long loan stint with Bidvest Wits.
The 26-year-old is expected to return to his parent-club, Egyptian giants, Al Ahly at the end of his loan deal on June 30, next year, however, the Brazilians are believed to be assessing their interest in possibly extending the player’s stay in South Africa.
Gamal has been a vital part of Head Coach Gavin Hunt’s set-up despite the team’s bad run of form in the current 2017/18 Absa Premiership campaign and indications are that the Students will want to hold on to the attacker’s services for the full length of his loan deal.
However, should Sundowns look to intensify their interest in the striker, Masandawana could approach Al Ahly in the January transfer window period, although, the immediate future of Gamal may possibly lie in the hands of both Al Ahly and Wits at this point.
At this point, indications are that Sundowns are just monitoring the player’s situation, however, football is unpredictable and it remains to be seen whether the club will look to act on their interest in the player.
