Mamelodi Sundowns may be waiting until the transfer window fully opens before they make an announcement about incoming players.
The Siya crew revealed today that reports in South America have suggested that Sundowns are on the verge of completing the signing of Venezuelan striker, Jose Ali Meza after sportsvenezuela.com revealed that the player travelled to South Africa to undergo a medical.
However, the Siya crew contacted Sundowns’ media coordinator, Thulani Thuswa who was unavailable to comment on the matter at the time.
Although, according to Siya sources, it is likely that the deal will be happening in the coming weeks, however, Sundowns are still set to make space on their foreign quota.
The Brazilians completed the signing Toni Silva and Andile Jali, although are yet to confirm the arrival of Silva, despite the playing revealing that he has put pen to paper on a deal at the club.
Indications are that Sundowns will take their time confirming foreign players, with an announcement about Meza possibly expected to be made in the coming weeks, should a deal for the player be finalised.
