Sundowns Offer African Winger Contract
Mamelodi Sundowns Have Offered A Winger A Contract At The Club
Mamelodi Sundowns are believed to have offered a Guinea-Bissau winger a contract at the club.
As previously revealed by the Siya crew, Cape Town City were showing a keen interest in the services of Toni Brito Silva, who was previously on the books of Greek outfit, APO Levadiakos.
Silva, who is currently a free agent, was spotted by one of the Sundowns’ scouts in 2016, although did not pursue their interest any further.
As reported in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, Sundowns have now revisited their interest in the player, with sources indicating that Masandawana have offered the player a deal, trying to edge City to his signature.
However, should all be agreed to by both parties, the 24-year-old will only be able to be registered by Sundowns during the July/August transfer window, according to the FIFA rules regarding players who have had their contract terminated after the registration period.
As things stand and according to sources, the player is set to make a decision in the coming weeks with an offer from both Sundowns and City on the table for the winger.
