A Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper is still a transfer target for Free State Stars, although the club recently welcomed Dino Visser for assessment.
Following his two stints on loan at Ea Lla Koto from Sundowns in the 2016/17 season, as well as the second half of last season, Ngobeni has left a lasting impression at the Bethlehem club.
Speaking to the Siya crew, Stars’ head coach Luc Eymael confirmed the team’s interest in the former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper.
“We still have a problem for the second goalkeeper. We will see if we can bring Thela back or not. We’d like to get Thela and Thela would also like to come,” confirmed Eymael.
Meanwhile, the Siya crew has learnt from sources close to the Free State outfit that Visser has been training with the side after leaving Platinum Stars – the team that has since changed its name to Umoya United FC and relocated to Cape Town in preparation of its National First Division campaign in the new season.
