Mamelodi Sundowns are expected to finalise a deal with a Zambian youngster, who has impressed the technical team while on trial at the club.
As reported by the Siya crew, Sundowns has been interested in Zambian striker, Lameck Banda, who has been training under Pitso Mosimane and his technical team at the Chloorkop outfit.
Although the player will be unlikely to play for Downs in the PSL this season due to the club’s foreign quota that has been exhausted, The Brazilians are expected to sign the young star to prevent any chance of anyone doing so before them.
“The player is still training with Sundowns. He’s not going anywhere. He is a young boy with immense talent, so there is no rush. He has impressed. He hasn’t signed yet, but the club is keen on him after he impressed during their training sessions,” said the source.
As reported in edition 1045 of Soccer Laduma, Downs is facing strong competition from other clubs on the continent regarding their interest in the 16-year-old, as confirmed by Nkwazi FC, the Zambian Premier League club he is contracted to.
