A defender on the books of Mamelodi Sundowns has attracted interest from Golden Arrows.

As reported in the 1066th edition of Soccer Laduma, Abafana Bes’thende consider re-signing Siyanda Zwane.

Although he will finish the 2017/18 season playing for Ajax Cape Town, Zwane belongs to Sundowns.

The right back was loaned to the Mother City club by Downs in January. In search of experienced players to add to Clinton Larsen’s squad at Arrows, the KwaZulu-Natal club has identified Zwane as a potential transfer target for the team, according to Siya sources.

It is believed that Arrows are keen on re-signing Zwane, with a view of adding him to next season’s squad.

The experienced player is doing well in reviving his career with Ajax under coach Muhsin Ertugral.

Zwane has played in all of Ajax’s matches under Ertugral and has been impressive in their fight against relegation, since joining the team.

Having started his professional career with Arrows back in 2006 before his big move to Sundowns in 2014, the Sobantu-born player could be set for a return to the KZN outfit if Arrows persist on attempting to re-sign him, as indicated by sources.

The defender is still contracted to Sundowns until June 2019.

Sibusiso Vilakazi is nowhere near satisfied with what he has done for Mamelodi Sundowns this season. Vilakazi wants to contribute more in the remaining matches as Sundowns chase the league and cup double, while the CAF Champions League remains a priority for the ambitious club. The former Bidvest Wits captain had an inconsistent first half of the season, but is constantly working hard to ensure he improves. He has scored three goals in his last two matches – two against AmaZulu in the Absa Premiership and another in the Champions League against Rwandan side Rayon Sports. “I'm doing well, but that's not good enough for me because if you look at the position of the team, the gap is not much against [second-placed] Orlando Pirates, so that's not good enough,” Vilakazi said. “I criticise myself and say I'm not doing good enough. If we were doing good, then we were going to have a good lead and I would have contributed to the team enough and we’d maybe have 10 points difference. “So for ourselves, we are not doing good enough. But we have a coach who always tries to work on my weaknesses and is trying to make me better. So I try to criticise myself each and every time and I don't get satisfied. He added: “I want to be better in terms of contributing to the team. I can only comment once the title is secured.”
