The club confirmed on their official Twitter account yesterday, December 20, that Themba Zwane, Siyanda Zwane, Motjeka Madisha and Kennedy Mweene have all had their contracts extended with the Brazilians.

However, Sundowns are yet to confirm whether Bangaly Soumahoro and Tiyani Mabunda have put pen to paper on new contracts, after Head Coach Pitso Mosimane revealed on Tuesday evening that the duo’s contracts are set to be finalised.

On the other hand, a decision about Asavela Mbekile’s immediate future is yet to be made by the club, as the player has not kicked a ball in this domestic season for the first-team this campaign and will see his contract with Sundowns come to an end on June 30.

As reported previously by the crew, Thabo Nthethe’s contract will also expire next year, June, and according to Siya sources, the veteran defender is currently being linked with an exit from the Chloorkop-based club in the upcoming January transfer window. However, it remains to be seen what decision Sundowns will look to make on the player come next month.

In addition, Ricardo Nascimento is believed to have signed a new contract with the Brazilians, however, the club is yet to make an official announcement about whether or not the player will be registered for the second half of the 2017/18 season.

On the other hand, Head Coach Mosimane is hopeful that Khama Billiat will extend his stay at the club, however, the player has been heavily linked with an exit in the January transfer window.
