Masandawana are believed to have an added two-year option on the 28-year-old’s contract, although are yet to exercise the clause.

However, the Brazilians will have until the end of May 2019 to exercise the player’s option, in the unlikely case that they might lose Vilakazi’s services on free on June 30 next year.
Vilakazi has established himself as one of Head Coach Pitso Mosimane’s key players, forming part of a formidable attacking system made up of the likes of Percy Tau, Khama Billiat and Themba Zwane.
There is no doubt that Mosimane wants to hold on to the player in the coming years as he looks to continue building a legacy at the club.
However, football is unpredictable and after the uncertainty surrounding the future of star player, Khama Billiat, at Sundowns, it remains to be seen who will stay at the club in the coming seasons.
