Sundowns In Talks For SuperSport Stopper
Mamelodi Sundowns Are Trying To Sign Reyaad Pieterse
Mamelodi Sundowns are believed to be in talks with SuperSport United with regards to the possibility of signing Reyaad Pieterse, with the club open to selling the talented shot-stopper.
Pieterse, who joined Matsatsantsa from Kaizer Chiefs, is currently battling it out with Ronwen Williams – a SuperSport graduate – for the number one spot, and it has been widely reported that the club are willing to let him leave in search of regular game time elsewhere.
Word reaching the Siya crew is that talks are ongoing between the two clubs, while the 26-year-old shot-stopper is also in discussions regarding the contract that could be on the table should the teams reach an agreement.
Sundowns have Denis Onyango, Kennedy Mweene, Razak Brimah and Thela Ngobeni all on their first team books at present, although only Ngobeni is under 30, and Pitso Mosimane could be looking at Pieterse as a goalkeeper to lead them into the future. There have also been suggestions that Brimah could be on his way out.
Kaizer Chiefs and Cape Town City have also shown an interest in Pieterse, although it appears that it is Sundowns who currently lead the way as things stand.
