Mamelodi Sundowns currently have a few more players in the final year of their contract, with the club expected to make a decision about those players in the coming months.
As reported in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, a new deal could be on the cards for Sundowns’ new signing, Toni Silva, with Siya sources indicating that the player’s deal is set to run until June 30, next year.
However, sources have since revealed that there may be an option on the player’s contract, with the club yet to decide whether they will extend the Guinea-Bissau winger’s stay beyond the current 2018/19 campaign.
Although Silva is not the only player who is running on a one-year deal, Sibusiso Vilakazi will see his contract come to an end on June 30, as well, with Sundowns also believed to have an added two-year option on the deal of the Bafana Bafana international.
Currently, Bhangaly Soumahoro and Anthony Laffor will also see their contracts come to an end on June 30, next year, although, it remains to be seen whether the club will look to extend the duo’s stay beyond the 2018/19 season.
