Once again, it appears that the Brazilians have set their sights on another player, although, this time around, the defender is currently training with Chiefs.
Nkanyiso Nene, who is part of the Nedbank Cup Keyona Team, was one of 16 players who was awarded the opportunity to train with an Absa Premiership outfit.
However, according to sources Masandawana are believed to be showing interest in the 22-year-old and could look to possibly edge Kaizer Chiefs and approach the player with a professional contract.
Should Sundowns be successful in their pursuit, this will not be the first time that the Brazilians have beaten the Soweto giants to signings.
In the past, players such as Jeremy Brockie, Aubrey Ngoma, Andile Jali, Lebohang Maboe, Anele Ngcongca, Reyaad Pieterse, Mosa Lebusa, Thapelo Morena and Sibusiso Vilakazi to name a few.
