Transfer Update: Sundowns Set To Send Goalkeeper Out On Loan
Mamelodi Sundowns Are Set To Loan Out One Of Their Goalkeepers
Mamelodi Sundowns are set to send one of their goalkeepers out on loan for the rest of the 2017/18 season.
As previously reported by the Siya crew, Thela Ngobeni, who handed in a transfer request to Masandawana earlier this month, is currently being linked with a move back to Free State Stars.
Ngobeni returned from his loan stint with Ea Lla Koto after June 30 last year, is believed to be unhappy with his lack of game-time at the Brazilians.
As reported last week, Sundowns and Stars were expected to meet up to negotiate a transfer of the 28-year-old.
However, according to Siya sources, it seems that the two clubs are looking to agree to a loan deal for Ngobeni, which could run up until the end of the current 2017/18 campaign.
Sundowns currently have Denis Onyango, Kennedy Mweene and Brimah Razak on their books as shot-stoppers for this season, with Ngobeni now set to seek game-time elsewhere.
Now it remains to be seen whether the two clubs will come to an agreement on a loan move for Ngobeni.
