Sundowns Coy On Reports Of Saudi Club's Bid For Billiat
Mamelodi Sundowns Are Coy On Reports Of Offer For Khama Billiat
Mamelodi Sundowns have opted against commenting on reports stating that a Saudi Arabian club has made an offer to the Brazilians for the services of Khama Billiat.
Reports surfacing in local media have stated that Al-Nassr FC has tabled a lucrative offer to Masandawana, as they are believed to be massive admirers of their Zimbabwean star player.
However, the Siya crew has since gotten in touch with Sundowns’ media coordinator, Thulani Thuswa, who revealed that the club will not be commenting on the matter at this time.
“We are unable to comment on the matter at this time,” was all Thuswa told Soccer Laduma.
Billiat has attracted interest from several outfits in Europe and Africa over recent months, with his former teammate, Keagan Dolly, the latest Sundowns player to make the move abroad, following collective stellar performances from the duo in Masandawana’s CAF Champions League campaign.
However, Billiat still has one more year to run on his current contract with Sundowns, with an improved deal already been tabled to the player by the club, however, Billiat is yet to put pen to paper on the new deal.
Now, it remains to be seen whether Sundowns will be considering the alleged offer from the Saudi Arabians and if a move abroad will materialise for the player in the coming weeks.
