Sundowns Coy On Reports Of Saudi Club's Bid For Billiat

Mamelodi Sundowns Are Coy On Reports Of Offer For Khama Billiat

By Soccer Laduma - Jul 21, 2017 01:56 PM

Mamelodi Sundowns have opted against commenting on reports stating that a Saudi Arabian club has made an offer to the Brazilians for the services of Khama Billiat.

Reports surfacing in local media have stated that Al-Nassr FC has tabled a lucrative offer to Masandawana, as they are believed to be massive admirers of their Zimbabwean star player.

However, the Siya crew has since gotten in touch with Sundowns’ media coordinator, Thulani Thuswa, who revealed that the club will not be commenting on the matter at this time.

“We are unable to comment on the matter at this time,” was all Thuswa told Soccer Laduma.

Billiat has attracted interest from several outfits in Europe and Africa over recent months, with his former teammate, Keagan Dolly, the latest Sundowns player to make the move abroad, following collective stellar performances from the duo in Masandawana’s CAF Champions League campaign.

However, Billiat still has one more year to run on his current contract with Sundowns, with an improved deal already been tabled to the player by the club, however, Billiat is yet to put pen to paper on the new deal.

Now, it remains to be seen whether Sundowns will be considering the alleged offer from the Saudi Arabians and if a move abroad will materialise for the player in the coming weeks.

Opposition idiots always raise their voices whenever there is a rumour of Downs star player being wanted and their stupid suggestions will be he is unhappy he must leave Downs I sense fear here they would love to see our team dismantled forgetting that Jingles has capable replacements already,by the way Billiat is injured and what the hell is Saudi Arabian football,Billiat deserves a better league not that

@Pathology I Salute you for that. Some people I dout if they ever signed contracts I believe they were employed by id.Sundowns knew from onset that they will need him for a duration of 3years and the both parties agreed to that.

I don t understand these things of people saying that the player is unhappy he must be allowed to leave?? Billiat knows his contract will expire next year and he signed that contract he must honor it . Its not whether you are unhappy then you must leave unless ofcoz you are being treated unfairly by the club. He can wait like Zungu then walk out a free man next year if he is not happy or he can sign the new offer and continue enjoying football. He is not really making sundowns a favor he will receive his salary and big bonuses and feed his family. Ofcoz if the offer comes and sundowns feel its a good one they will let him go like Dolly at the end of the day sundowns are not getting these players for free they pay..Most people think that sundowns players should be released for free nonsense.

@Khaya Shozi Champ nobody is making things difficult for Billiat and that is why they gave him another offer which he can choose to sign or not,. Billiat is happy at Sundowns i believe, since he never complained and at the moment he is having a contract to honor till end of the season. We need to understand that for everything that these players having given to sundowns including ACL and supper cup, they were paid big money for it and thats what they are getting paid for not because they are Billiat and so on. They are not doing sundowns any favor or anything like that. Nobody should try to make things difficult for anyone here
