Sundowns To Let Striker Go Permanently?
Mamelodi Sundowns Are Believed To Be Assessing The Immediate Future Of One Of Their Strikers
With Pitso Mosimane indicating that he has identified several players to be his ‘key men’, the Siya crew has learnt that one of his strikers could be permanently leaving the club.
The Brazilians currently have several players out on loan elsewhere in the Premier Soccer League, although, will have to make decisions about their immediate future once they return to the squad at the end of the season.
Yannick Zakri will be returning to Sundowns at the end of the 2017/18 campaign, after spending a short stint with Ajax Cape Town.
However, the Siya crew has been informed that Masandawana will be open to the sale of the player in the upcoming July/August transfer window, with indications that they are giving Ajax the first choice.
Although, a lot will be determined on whether or not Ajax will survive in South Africa’s top flight, as the Urban Warriors are currently fighting relegation at the bottom of the league standings.
Sundowns also have Rheece Evans and Siyanda Zwane on loan with Ajax, although as things stand, it seems that the Urban Warriors could be looking to negotiate the permanent stay of Zakri.
The Ivorian still has one more year left on his deal with Masandawana and it remains to be seen whether he will stay at the Brazilians, complete a permanent move to Ajax, or if any other interested suitors will come in for his services.
