The Siya crew has been informed that a now-former Mamelodi Sundowns player is training with SuperSport United.
Lucky Mohomi saw his contract with Sundowns expire at the end of the extended 2019/20 campaign, this after the Brazilians opted against exercising the added one-year option.
It’s since been confirmed to the crew that Mohomi, who is now a free agent, is training under the watchful eye of Kaitano Tembo and his technical team.
The midfielder had been linked with an exit from Sundowns for several months after struggling for game-time in the star-studded side.
The 29-year-old had been linked with a move to SuperSport in the past and the Siya crew recently reported that Swallows FC were also showing interest in bringing the midfielder on board at the club.
However, it seems that Mohomi could have a future at Matsatsantsa, if he impresses enough to land a contract with the Tshwane side.
SuperSport are believed to still be eyeing a replacement for Dean Furman who recently parted ways with the club and it remains to be seen whether Mohomi will be added to their books for the 2020/21 campaign.
