Eymael Confirms Interest In His Services
Luc Eymael Honoured For Interest In Him
Luc Eymael says he is honoured that Kenyan Premier League side, Gor Mahia, is showing interest in his services.
The Belgian coach, who is contracted to Polokwane City, is linked with a coaching job at the Kenyan club, as reported on the Soccer Laduma website. Speaking to the Siya crew, Eymael confirmed that he is pleased with the interest in him although he is still contracted to Rise and Shine.
“I’m honoured by this offer because Gor Mahia, Tusker FC and AFC Leopards are big teams in Kenya.
“But I’m currently contracted to Polokwane City and the chairman Mr. (Johnny) Mogaladi must agree to any transfer,” said Eymael.
Although Eymael is attracting interest from outside of Mzansi, the 57-year-oldsays he would be keen to continue his coaching career in the PSL than returning to Kenya. Eymael was the coach of AFC Leopards during the 2012/13 season.
“I’m not specifically interested (in) coaching a team in Kenya. If it was the national team, yes, but not specifically a team. I would prefer to remain in South Africa or maybe go to a different country. I would look into teams that are playing in the CAF competitions. I’m used to CAF competitions because I have been to four Champions League and two Confederations Cup competitions,” concluded Eymael.
