List Grows As Two Mamelodi Sundowns Players Expected At Orlando Pirates
Orlando Pirates chairman, Irvin Khoza revealed in a press conference yesterday that the Soweto giants are set to make two more new signings and while no confirmation of the identity of the players was given, Siya sources revealed that it could be two players from Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Pirates chairman took the football fraternity by surprise yesterday, August 03, when he announced the shock transfer of Oupa Manyisa to Sundowns.
While confirming Manyisa’s move, Dr Khoza also revealed that the club is set to announce more player movements in the coming weeks, adding that the Bucs will be welcoming at least two more new signings.
While there is no confirmation of who Pirates are looking to bring in for the new season, Siya sources have revealed that there is a strong possibility that the two players are set to come from Masandawana.
It was previously revealed on Soccer Laduma according to Siya sources, that Sundowns offered both Siyanda Zwane and Asavela Mbekile to the Soweto giants during the current transfer window, while the Bucs confirmed the signing of Wayne Sandilands.
However, Siya sources revealed that there are currently up to eight Sundowns players being linked with a move to Pirates and indications are that two of the players could likely form part of a swap deal involving Manyisa’s move to Sundowns.
Zwane, Mbekile, Leonardo Castro, Mario Booysen, Cuthbert Malajila, Mokagolodi Ngele, Mzikayise Mashaba and Fiston Abdul Razak were some of the names revealed to the crew by Siya sources.
Mashaba is one of the noticeable names on the list, as he was linked with the Soweto giants in the past, after it was confirmed that the player’s representative previously held talks with the club about the 28-year-old.
The Siya crew will investigate further and keep you posted.
