With an Orlando Pirates star believed to be returning from injury, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic could be faced with a selection headache for the side's upcoming match against Golden Arrows this weekend.
Pirates were without Linda Mntambo in their last two matches, against SuperSport United and AmaZulu, due to injury.
According to sources close to the Bucs’ camp, the 29-year-old, who last played when he started during the team’s 2-0 loss away to Espérance Sportive de Tunis in the CAF Champions League two weeks ago, has made progress in recovering from the groin injury he struggled with.
“He is coming alright. He had a bit of an injury and he was out for some time because of the groin. He has been treating that and he is coming alright. He could be available for the upcoming match,” confirmed the source.
Mlambo will face strong competition for the central midfield position from the likes of Musa Nyatama and Ben Motshwari, who performed well during Bucs’ 4-1 win over AmaZulu at the weekend, while Xola Mlambo will also be working on regaining his place in the starting line-up after he didn’t play against Usuthu.
