SA Starlet Agrees Permanent Euro Move
Liam Jordan is currently on loan with HB Køge from Bidvest Wits, but the Danish club have already decided that they want to make his move permanent once the loan comes to an end.
The 19-year-old attacker joined Køge at the start of this year after deciding to cut short his time with Sporting Clube de Portugal, and has already started to make an impact with his new club.
Last week the teenager was given his first start at his new side having played in two of their three opening games, and it appears their head coach, Henrik Lehm, seems to like what he sees.
It has been confirmed by the club that they have an agreement in place to sign the South African youth international until 2020, although the Siya crew have been informed that that will only come into play once his loan from Wits has come to an end in July.
Their sporting director, Per Rud, has high hopes for Jordan, saying, “I must emphasise that it is important that we have patience. He has not played many matches in recent years, but if we give him time to develop, I am convinced that in the long term we have to deal with a player who can reach really, really far.”
Køge are hoping to make a push for promotion into the Danish top-flight this season.
