Former Bloemfontein Celtic and Chippa United striker Lerato Manzini is understood to have found himself a new home for next season.
Manzini joined GladAfrica Championship side Bizana Pondo Chiefs towards the end of March, with the club hoping he would help them survive relegation. Bizana has since been relegated and their final game of the season this weekend will just be a formality.
Manzini has parted ways with the club and the Siya crew has been informed that he has signed a deal with Free State Stars, which will commence in July.
The 29-year-old is believed to have penned a one-year deal with Ea Lla Koto and is set to start pre-season with the Free State outfit ahead of the 2021/22 campaign. The deal, according to information received by the Siya crew, is understood to have an option to extend for another year.
Stars can book their place in the promotional play-offs on the final day of this season if JDR Stars and Richards Bay, who are both on 46 points, lose their matches. Ea Lla Koto are currently in fifth place on 44 points and are away to Polokwane City on the final day of the season on Sunday.
Should they not make the play-offs, Ea Lla Koto will be hoping they can finally make a return to top-flight football in 2022/23.
Manzini looks set to join a long list of players who have played for both Celtic and Stars, which includes the likes of Prince Olomu, Danny Venter, Klenbooi Taaibos, Fees Moloi and Prince Hlela.
