Lebohang ‘Cheeseboy’ Mokoena has surfaced at a club in the National First Division as he continues his search for a deal for the 2018/19 season.
It was recently reported by the Siya crew that Mokoena has been training with Highlands Park in search of a PSL deal. The former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns player has now turned to Maccabi FC in the NFD after not being signed at the Lions of the North.
As confirmed by a source close to Maccabi, Mokoena has been joined at the club by former Chippa United midfielder Tshwarelo Bereng who was previously linked with Kaizer Chiefs.
“Cheeseboy Mokoena and Tshwarelo Bereng are training with Maccabi FC,” confirmed the source.
Mokoena has struggled in finding a new club, since parting ways with Ajax Cape Town in June last year.
Meanwhile, Maccabi recently added to their roster an experienced player in former Sundowns and Polokwane City defender, Thapelo Tshilo.
