Komphela Set For Chiefs Management Meeting

Komphela Set For Chiefs Management Meeting

Kaizer Chiefs head coach, Steve Komphela, is set to meet with the club’s management during the coming days to discuss the way forward after a tough start to the season.

The Glamour Boys went down 2-1 to SuperSport United on Wednesday evening as they succumbed to their second defeat in three games, and have failed to win any of their three matches in 2017/18 so far.

Chiefs have only won one of their last 10 games stretching back to last season, and with them already out of the MTN8 their chances of landing a trophy this season have already been depleted by one.

With that in mind, the Siya crew have been informed that Komphela is expected to meet with his Amakhosi bosses at some point now that the international break has begun for them, where they will no doubt be talking about what lies ahead after two trophyless campaigns.

Sammy Troughton became the first head coach to be relieved of his position this season when Free State Stars parted ways with him this week, and there have been a portion of Chiefs fans who have made it clear that they’d like to see Komphela being the next one out of the door.

@Annah20 The Coach is responsible among other major duties, to architect his squad. He should also be able to improve or develop the levels of performance for his available players. The Coach knows who to play, how they play, how long the play and even design their rest to achieve maximum output from his charges. The Coach exhumes data and other scouting methods to help him plan accordingly for all opposition to be faced. The Coach choses all various tactical approaches to be played and is responsible to teach them to the players for perfect execution. The COACH is the HEART of the team. Hope I was of help.

I hear all this but the question to ask here is, Is Steve the problem? Is he incompetent or is it the players? Perhaps amakhosi lack the skill, quality players. I really don't know

Where was this noise when Parker missed a penalty in MTN8 final?, where was this noise when Gordinho gave away a penalty in dying moments against Celtics, where was this noise when Matoho comitted a foulwith in 7 minutes game started that resulted him getting marching orders?, were all these deviations caused by Khompela? It is a shame to see and read comments from Black people damaging a career of a Black Coach and suggesting him to be replaced by White monopoly Capitalists like Krol, Mushin, DeSa, Middendorp. The bottom line is, it is a curse to coach any big club if you are black in Mzantsi
