Time Left For Wits Starlet To Complete Portuguese Switch
The South African transfer window may still be open, but young Kobamelo Kodisang still has time to complete a potential move to Portugal this month.
Kodisang, who recently turned 19, has played more than 30 games at senior level since being handed his debut as a 15-year-old by coach Cavin Johnson at Platinum Stars, and his performances saw him land a move to the then reigning champions, Bidvest Wits.
Now, as reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, the Siya crew has been informed that there is a club in Portugal that is eager to try and snap up the talented teenager before the window closes.
While the team remains unknown at this point, the Portuguese window is open until September 21st, giving them another couple of weeks to finalise their business before it slams shut.
The youngster hasn’t played for Wits since scoring for them in the CAF Champions League in February and could see a move to Europe as the perfect next step in his career.
