Kaizer Chiefs need to win this weekend if they’re to try and keep their title hopes alive for the 2018/19 season, but one of their most key players may have to sit this one out…
The Glamour Boys currently find themselves sixth and 10 points behind Absa Premiership leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns, meaning that they need to get back to winning ways if they’re going to even consider a late push up the table.
Chiefs are three games without a win in the league and have been dealing with numerous injuries of late as they contemplate the possibility of yet another barren season following their three-year trophy drought.

With that in mind, it is thought that Khama Billiat is a doubt for the weekend’s encounter with Highlands Park, though – as previously reported – Leonardo Castro could be back in contention.
Billiat picked up a knock recently and may be left out of the squad when Chiefs travel to Durban for the clash tomorrow, news which will come as a big blow to Ernst Middendorp given the fact that the Zimbabwean is Chiefs’ top scorer so far this season.
A Chiefs win over the Lions of the North could see them move up to fifth in the table, while a defeat might see them slip out of the top eight and even further from the top of the log.
Do you think Amakhosi will miss Billiat if he doesn’t make it?
