Nigerian Striker Leaves Chiefs

It doesn’t look like Kaizer Chiefs will be signing Nigerian striker, Kelvin Abara Obasi, with the forward having now stopped training at the club.

The Siya crew reported last week that the 21-year-old was into the last week of his trial with the Amakhosi as he looked to impress Steve Komphela, with Chiefs still on the lookout for players to bolster their side.
Now, while there has been no confirmation of his future, it would appear that he didn’t manage to do enough at Naturena to earn himself a contract at the club.
Chiefs have had an exciting transfer window this time around, landing Leonardo Castro, Siphelele Ntshangase and Kabelo Mahlasela as they continue their hunt to bring their trophyless run to an end.
It remains to be seen what lies ahead for Abara Obasi, who is still looking for the next step in his career after leaving Serbia.
