The last transfer window may have only recently slammed shut, but it appears that Kaizer Chiefs are already making enquiries as they plan for the 2019/20 Absa Premiership season.
Chiefs weren’t particularly busy over January as they snapped up Daniel Akpeyi and Reeve Frosler to bolster their squad for the remainder of the current campaign, though their struggles in the league seem to have signalled that more is required if they’re to challenge for the title once again next time around.
With that in mind, the Siya crew has been informed that the Glamour Boys have shown an interest in Black Leopards’ tricky attacker, Karabo Tshepe and that enquiries have already been made regarding his potential availability when the next transfer window opens up.
According to Siya sources, Chiefs are considering a move for Lidoda Duvha’s number 10 in order to boost Ernst Middendorp’s attacking options for the upcoming season, though the fact that he is under contract means that a transfer fee will be required if they do decide to pursue him.
The 30-year-old has played 19 games for Leopards this season so far, and his current employers would no doubt be reticent to lose him without being substantially compensated for letting him leave.
