Kaizer Chiefs have been showing interest in bringing one of their former goalkeepers back to the club but could be edged by their rivals Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Siya crew has reported in the past months that Reyaad Pieterse is being heavily linked with an exit from SuperSport United.
Chiefs are believed to be one of the clubs keen on landing the player’s signature, with the goalkeeper having just one more year left on his contract with Matsatsantsa.
However, according to sources, Chiefs may look to only go in for Pieterse’s services once he is able to join the club as a free agent.
The 26-year-old will be able to sign a pre-contract with a club of his choice once he reaches the final six months of his contract with SuperSport in January next year.
However, sources have revealed that Sundowns could look to bring the player on board at the Chloorkop-based club, as they are believed to be really keen on the player.
Now, it remains to be seen who will swoop in for Pieterse’s services in the coming weeks.
