Chiefs Stars Given Time Off
Kaizer Chiefs Players Have Been Given Time Off
Kaizer Chiefs’ players have been rewarded for their win over Maritzburg United by being given time off this week by interim head coach, Patrick Mabedi.
The Amakhosi picked up their 11th Absa Premiership victory of the season as they beat Maritzburg 2-0 on Saturday, and are now in pole position when it comes to finishing third and clinching a spot in the next edition of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Chiefs have endured a difficult few weeks given their three defeats, exit of Steve Komphela and elimination from the Nedbank Cup, though they do have a chance to finish on a good note as they chase their highest league position in three years.
Now, with the club’s next game only taking place on May 12th, the Siya crew have been informed that the Glamour Boys have been given some time off from training, and will only return on Wednesday when they will begin preparations for their final clash with Ajax Cape Town.
Meanwhile, Chiefs’ reserves also had a good weekend as they reached the final of the Multichoice Diski Shield where they will face Mamelodi Sundowns at Tembisa’s Makhulong Stadium on May 5th.
