A potential move for Thabo Rakhale would to Kaizer Chiefs seems unlikely, as the player looks to form part of the future plans of Chippa United.
Having joined Chippa from Orlando Pirates in 2018, Rakhale has been one of the top performing players at the Port Elizabeth outfit, playing regularly under the different coaches he has worked with.
Chippa chairman, Siviwe Mpengesi, confirmed in the media this week that his club is keen to extend the 29-year-old player’s contract, which is due to expire in June.
It has further been confirmed to the Siya crew from sources close to Rakhale’s camp that the new deal could be finalised before the end of this week.
“It’s something that the parties are looking to finalise as soon as possible. It should be finalised before the end of the week,” the source said.
As confirmed by the source, Rakhale is likely to be on a two-year deal in his new contract with the Chilli Boys.
In recent months, the skilful player has been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs. However, with the latest developments regarding a new deal at Chippa, a move to Naturena for the ex-Pirates star appears to be highly unlikely at this stage of his career.
