Five New Potential Amakhosi Signings For January...

Kaizer Chiefs signed a handful of new players before the August transfer window came to a close, and they could bring in some more new faces in January...

The Glamour Boys have found a bit of form recently after a shaky start to their 2018/19 season, with their marquee signing, Khama Billiat, really coming to the party as he went on to directly contribute to nine of their 18 goals in all competitions so far.

Meanwhile, last season's big signing, Leonardo Castro, was also coming good as he got three goals and two assists before his injury, and the club will be happy with the progress seemingly being made in the last few weeks under Giovanni Solinas.

The Siya crew has already reported that the club is looking at potentially signing Hassan Makhubela of the University of Johannesburg for their Multichoice Diski Challenge side, while Highlands Park's Luckyboy Mokoena is a player who has been linked with the Glamour Boys for some time now.

Chiefs, who have long been keen on Baroka's Talent Chawaphiwa, may look to go after his signature once again in January if the chance arises after they missed out on signing him prior to the start of the 2018/10 campaign.

Another player that Chiefs have been linked with a move for is Bidvest Wits’ Reeve Frosler, with the player entering into the last year of his current deal and being out of Gavin Hunt’s plans. The Glamour Boys are said to be seeking a long-term replacement for Ramahlwe Mphahlele. With regards to expiring contracts, Chiefs may also rekindle their interest in Ajax Cape Town’s Jody February, who will be able to pen a pre-contract in January and is out of favour in the Mother City.
