Chiefs' Last Gasp Shopping List...
Kaizer Chiefs have less than two weeks left if they're to bolster their squad before the transfer window closes shut on August 31, and these are the targets that they could still land.

The Amakhosi have chased and missed out on several players over the course of the last few months, following another trophyless campaign in 2017/18, and the fact that they haven’t won any of their opening three Absa Premiership games this season has raised alarm bells.
Chiefs’ new head coach, Giovanni Solinas, will be eager for that to change this evening when they face Maritzburg United, although it is known that they are keen to add a couple of names to their side before the window slams shut.
According to Siya sources, Chiefs have around five targets left to pursue at this point in time, with Lebogang Manyama, Thabo Matlaba, Talent Chawapihwa, Lorenzo Gordinho and Godfrey Walusimbi all potential options going forward.
While the Glamour Boys have confirmed their interest in seeing Gordinho return early from his loan spell at Bloemfontein Celtic, and the fact that negotiations over Walusimbi are ongoing, there has been no official word about their other targets.
Speaking to the club’s official website about Gordinho, Bobby Motaung said, “The player also made a request to return to Chiefs after the reported problems the club has been going through.”
Meanwhile, on Walusimbi he added, “The two clubs are in discussions, and we hope to finalise the matter in the next few days.”
The South African transfer window will close at midnight on August 31st, although free agents – such as Manyama – are not bound by it.
