Khumalo On Borrowed Time At Chiefs?
Kaizer Chiefs Defender Linked With Exit
Kaizer Chiefs’ Sibusiso Khumalo is believed to be nearing the end of his stay with the Soweto giants.
Amakhosi could be set to part ways with the defender at the end of the current season, as reported in the latest edition of Soccer Laduma.
Khumalo was one of the players earmarked for a loan move away from Chiefs during the January transfer window, according to a source in the know.
“The plan was for the player to leave Chiefs on a loan move to another club. But there were no offers for his services. He was offered to different clubs, but unfortunately nothing worked to the player’s favour,” said the source.
The left-back is yet to play in an official match for Chiefs this season, with Philani Zulu having made the left back position his own under Coach Steve Komphela.
Furthermore, Chiefs have Tsepo Masilela and the young Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya competing for the left-back position.
As reported in edition 1060 of Soccer Laduma, if Chiefs are unable to send Khumalo on loan ahead of the 2018/19 season, they could look to mutually part ways as they have done in the past with their former players.
