Kaizer Chiefs fans could see the long-awaited return of one of their attacker’s tonight, with a player on the brink of getting back on the field after eight months out of action.
Joseph Molangoane picked up a horrendous injury back in August as the Glamour Boys lost 3-0 in the MTN8 to Free State Stars, and there was even talk that his ankle break could possibly put his career at risk.
Ernst Middendorp said earlier this year that he was unsure whether ‘Tight’ would get back into the side before the 2018/19 season was over, however it is thought that he could well be in contention to make a return for the Amakhosi when they take on Golden Arrows this evening.
Chiefs have a number of injuries at present, most recently Kabelo Mahlasela with a foot injury, and with the likes of Mahlasela and others not available for selection, Middendorp may be looking to bring Molangoane back into the fold.
Molangoane is set to see his current contract at Naturena expire at the end of the current season, and he will be eager to make his mark on Middendorp in the final few games in order to try and land a new deal in Soweto.
