Two Internationals Lead Chiefs Coach Race
Kaizer Chiefs don’t appear to have made a decision yet on who will lead the team forward next season, although it’s thought that two coaches from overseas lead the way if they don’t go local.

The likes of Luc Eymael, Stuart Baxter and Gavin Hunt are all names of coaches currently working in South Africa that have been linked with the vacant post at Naturena, while Avram Grant and Julio Leal are the favourites from overseas.
Grant is currently working for NorthEast United in India, while Leal is a free agent having left Polokwane City 2016, and the Siya crew has been informed that – as things stand – they are the frontrunners in terms of non-locally based candidates.
It was reported this week that Patrice Carteron’s salary demands – believed to be around R1m per month – had put the Amakhosi off from perusing his signature and that they have now turned their attention elsewhere.
With Chiefs due to return for pre-season on June 25th, club management will be eager to get things over the line as soon as possible with whomever they decide will take over as Steve Komphela’s successor so as to not disrupt their preparations for the 2018/19 campaign.
