Kaizer Chiefs are believed to still be on the lookout for a goalkeeper to compete with Virgil Vries for the number two spot.
Amakhosi completed the signing of Vries on July, 01, following Brilliant Khuzwayo’s departure from the Soweto giants.
However, according to Siya sources, Chiefs are still on the lookout for another goalkeeper to compete for the number two spot, with the club believed to be keen on Ajax Cape Town’s Jody February.
Although, with February having established himself as a regular in the Urban Warriors’ setup, it is unlikely that the Mother City-based club will let the player go, should they stay in top-flight football.
However, if Ajax are set to campaign in the National First Division next season, indications are that management at the club will be open to negotiating a possible move elsewhere for the player, with Amakhosi believed to be keen on bringing the player to Naturena.
Chiefs have shown interest in February following their 2-1 victory over the Urban Warriors in the final Absa Premiership clash last season.
Now it remains to be seen whether the 22-year-old will remain at Ajax in the new season.
