Chiefs’ January Transfer List…
Kaizer Chiefs will leave for Zambia tomorrow for their CAF Confederation Cup clash with ZESCO United, but that won’t stop them trying to make some moves in the transfer market.

The Glamour Boys are currently fifth in the Absa Premiership table and nine points off the leaders, Bidvest Wits, but Ernst Middendorp will be hoping that – with a bit of investment – they can try and close that gap in 2019.
Over the past weeks, Chiefs have been linked with a number of different players, but to date, there has been no official confirmation, and the Siya crew has been informed that there are no new faces at Naturena aside from the return of Lorenzo Gordinho.
One player who the club is thought to have agreed on terms with and are looking to bring in this month, is Wits’ Reeve Frosler, while another Clever Boy, Darren Keet, opted to reject their advances in favour of trying to secure a switch overseas at the end of the season.
With Keet saying no, Chiefs are thought to have turned their attentions to Mamelodi Sundowns’ Thela Ngobeni, though it remains to be seen whether they will be able to get a deal done or not.
There have been talks about a possible return to Chiefs for veteran midfielder, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, however, that appears to be unlikely now as the club try to focus more on bringing younger players on board, with Mothiba Mvala being linked following his fine form so far this season. Thabo Matlaba has also been linked after falling out-of-favour at Orlando Pirates.
Outside of the country, Uganda’s Emmanuel Okwi has been earmarked as a potential target for the Glamour Boys, although there has been no word from his current club, Simba SC.
Lastly, Talent Chawapiwa is a player who has been linked with Chiefs for some time now, and after helping Baroka to their maiden Telkom Knockout title, the Amakhosi could come knocking as they seek to bolster their attacking options.
Who do you think Kaizer Chiefs should be signing?
