Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns are both linked with a defender from Highlands Park due to the player's impressive performances under coach Owen da Gama.
Amakhosi and Downs are believed to be monitoring Luckyboy Mokoena, with the two clubs said to have been interested in the player since his time in the NFD and this season so far in the PSL.

As reported in edition 1090 of Soccer Laduma, of the PSL clubs monitoring the 24-year-old player, Chiefs and Sundowns are the most notable outfits showing interest in his services.
“The number of clubs showing interest in Luckyboy Mokoena is increasing by the day as the player keeps showing progress at Highlands Park with his performances this season. He is such a talented player whose true potential is going to be seen as the season progresses,” said the source.
Mokoena’s agent, Ratshibvumo Mulovhedzi, confirmed interest in the Koppies-born defender.
“Luckyboy Mokoena is a good player whose focus right now is on helping Highlands Park in the PSL. There is nobody who can deny interest in a quality player like him, but like I said, the boy is focused on his current club at the moment,” said Mulovhedzi.

Mokoena’s contract with the Lions of the North runs until 2020, as confirmed by his representative from Rush Hour Sport Management.
