Chiefs Agree Deal In Principle For New Striker
Jonatan Philippe Could Be Close To Joining Kaizer Chiefs
Kaizer Chiefs and Jonatan Philippe are believed to have agreed to terms in principle ahead of the player’s move to the club, although nothing has been signed at this point.
As reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, the 29-year-old Argentine and the club are thought to have an agreement on personal terms as the striker plans a move to the Absa Premiership having arrived at Naturena on Tuesday.
The club says that he is ‘undergoing medicals and assessment’ at the moment, and the Siya crew is led to believe that if all goes well he will be the latest addition to Steve Komphela’s side, joining Teenage Hadebe, Philani Zulu and Bhongolethu Jayiya as their new signings.
Meanwhile, the club is yet to make a decision on Darren Lurie and Arnaldo Gomes – both of whom are currently on trial – as they consider snapping up the attacker and midfielder ahead of the new campaign.
