Issa Sarr has finally signed with a new club, more than one year after leaving Orlando Pirates, following his four-year stay with the Soweto giants.
Following his departure from the Buccaneers at the end of the 2017/18 season, Sarr appeared to have struggled in his search for a new club. He trained at a few clubs, though it did not materialise in any deal.
Having spent the 2018/19 season without a club, the Senegalese midfielder has been offered an opportunity to revive his career, this after signing a deal with Uthongathi FC in the GladAfrica Championship.
“Issa Sarr has signed with Uthongathi and is currently in their camp in preparation for the team’s opening game of the season,” said the source.
Uthongathi begin the new season with a KZN derby match against Real Kings at the Mpumalanga Stadium in Hammarsdale on Saturday.
