The Siya crew has learnt that interest in the head coach of Free State Stars is on the increase.
As reported in issue 1060 of Soccer Laduma, Stars’ Luc Eymael continues to attract interest from the PSL and around Africa.
Following his impressive work with the Bethlehem team this season, the Belgian tactician is one of the most sought-after coaches on the continent.
Under his guidance, Ea Lla Koto are sitting comfortably in third place on the Absa Premiership log, behind Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.
While Eymael is still linked with a big move to Kaizer Chiefs, should the Soweto giants opt against extending Steve Komphela’s stay at the club, he is also being linked with a move beyond the South African borders.
Although Eymael has repeatedly distanced himself from the reports linking him with a move to Amakhosi, citing that Komphela should be respected in his position as the team’s head coach, an indication from sources in the know is that he has been identified as a possible replacement, should there be a change at the Soweto giants.
Eymael has also been linked to the Uganda senior national team, as well as clubs from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, among other African countries.
Tonight, Eymael will lead Stars in their Nedbank Cup Last 32 match against Super Eagles at Goble Park.
