An in-form striker, who has already scored 20 goals for his club this season, is available for a PSL move.
As reported in issue 1094 of Soccer Laduma, the PSL’s big guns are expected to re-visit their interest in the Democratic Republic of Congo striker, Idris Mbombo.
The 22-year-old who plays for Nkana FC in the Zambian Premier League has s number of suitors from Mzansi.
As confirmed by sources at the time, and as reported in issue 1078 of Soccer Laduma, Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United are some of the clubs believed to have been interested in the player.
Latest information filtering through to the Siya crew is that the PSL’s big guns could re-visit their interest in the forward, with all the clubs keen on him aware of his progress and form in Zambia.
Mbombo has scored 20 goals in 32 league matches, playing in Zambia, and netted five times in cup competition. The PSL’s big guns have been joined by Baroka FC in their interest in the player, according to sources.
However, the player is believed to be targeting a move to one of the so-called big clubs, if he plans to make a move to Mzansi's top-flight.
It has been confirmed to the Siya crew that plans are in place for the player’s handlers to discuss a potential move to the PSL, with the likes of Chiefs, SuperSport, as well as Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns all believed to be on alert.
