Golden Arrows are assessing former Thanda Royal Zulu goalkeeper Samkelo Mbambo, as Clinton Larsen and his technical team look to strengthen their squad.

Mbambo played for Real Kings in the 2016/17 season.

In their changes for the 2017/18 season, Abafana Bes’thende have already confirmed that they have parted ways with two goalkeepers from last season's squad, in Lee Langeveldt and Ricardo Goss.

It has been confirmed to the Siya crew that Mbambo has been joined by Sherwyn Naicker, amongst the players training with the KwaZulu-Natal outfit.

“Both Samkelo Mbambo and Sherwyn Naicker are training with Golden Arrows. The team is looking for a goalkeeper for the new season. A decision will be made on the goalkeeper to be signed by the club,” said the source.

Naicker previously turned out for Milano United in the NFD.
