Shitolo For Bucs Exit?
News reaching the Siya Crew is that Orlando Pirates defender Gladwin Shitolo could be facing an exit from the club during the upcoming transfer window as he continues to struggle for game-time.
Shitolo signed for the Buccaneers back in 2014, from Jomo Cosmos, after being an integral member of the NFD side. However, since joining Pirates, Shitolo was sent out on loan spells firstly to Platinum Stars and then to Golden Arrows, before re-joining the Soweto giants a season ago.
Since his return, the 24-year-old has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter and Siya sources have indicated that defender could be sent out on loan in January to gain some much-needed game-time.
“Shitolo is one of many players who hasn’t played but the coach has a large squad to choose from with many experienced players meaning that it’s always difficult for all the players to get the game time they want,” revealed the Siya source.
The Siya Crew previously reported that the Soweto giants have completed a transfer list of potential players that could be exiting the club in January, with indications that Shitolo could be on that list.
Furthermore, as revealed by the Siya crew, Bucs are looking to bolster their defence in January with Bidvest Wits and Bafana Bafana international, Thulani Hlatshwayo, identified as their primary target.
The arrival of a new defender could see Shitolo move even further down the pecking order, with less chance of getting game-time.
