Bucs Midfielder's Future In Doubt

By Soccer Laduma - Feb 26, 2018 02:38 PM

A decision on one of the Orlando Pirates' experienced midfielders is expected to be made by the club in due course.

As reported in edition 1061 of Soccer Laduma, Pirates are expected to make a decision on Thamsanqa Sangweni’s future in the coming weeks.

The indication from sources in the know is that a possible exit from Bucs could be on the cards for the player at the end of the current season.

Sangweni is struggling for game-time at Bucs, despite being expected to make a significant impact at the club when he joined.

With only three appearances for the former Chippa United star, out of the 22 matches for Pirates in their Absa Premiership campaign, it is expected that a move could be on the cards for the 28-year-old.

“Thamsanqa Sangweni finds himself in an unfortunate situation with lack of game-time at Pirates. The boy is a quality player who should be playing regularly. It would be good if the club can decide to loan him. They will decide what to do before next season and could sell him,” said the source.

The last official match for Sangweni at Pirates was against SuperSport United in December.

well.. Sangwenis situation is quite normal let me refresh you a little remember Yaya Toure how influential he was at city befor Guardiola era well some how Sangweni has few similarities with Toure we can agree to disagree they are both not so quick at the ball, they hold the ball too much at some time Sangweni can be too casual. well.. again Micho arrived in pirates he likes a pressing game with players playing high tempo football same as Guardiola style of play , Yaya Toure was dropped to the bench because he somehow didn't deliver according to the coach plans same as Sangweni i can name a lot of players who have had this problem so it's normal for player to be not in coach plans, others Sangweni is a great player with Massive ability.

This guy is very casual with the ball and usually gives the ball to opponents, Micho doesn`t like players like him.

Don't do anything Mr Khoza, there's a possibility of going back to Africa next season so we gonna need a lotta player's...He's valuable to the team, and we also need TWO quality central defenders & TWO wingers. just bring Lakay, the boy is marvel & Bucs style of play suit him better.
